Aries Kaizer
Aries Kaizer started out as a 3 piece band covering L'Arc~en~Ciel songs. After a few jamming sessions, Iru, Ridz & David found that they could click very well with each other musically and decided to play together seriously as a band. They managed to get Allan as the lead vocal and later on found their keyboardist, Elson.
The band adopted the name Ares Kaiser: Ares signifying the Greek God of War and Kaiser which means 'Emperor' in German. However, due to various misspellings of the band's name in events, the guys decided to stick with the name Aries Kaizer. Aries Kaizer has wowed audiences with their own style of music creativity and energy in their covers as well as their original songs.

[Electric] Scarlet
[Electric] Scarlet, a new band formed in 2009, is preceded by the band “Balrog”, which included three of its present members. Re-formed and joined by new members, the band’s lineup is now further strengthened with a mix of complementing influences, diverse musical styles as well as creative talents.
[Electric] Scarlet, composed by the two words “electric” and “scarlet, represents “energy” and “tenderness” when interpreted separately. As the band’s operating motif, it signifies the band’s direction to deliver both rocking numbers, as well as sophisticated and soft numbers.
[Electric] Scarlet is looking forward to showcase the various compositions of Shiina Ringo (椎名林檎) and Tokyo Jihen (東京事変), while the band itself is set to debut its first J-rock original “69 Diners” at this year’s Singapore Street Festival 2009 – DJ Party.

ethe'Real
ethe'Real was formed in Dec '07 consisting of various experienced musicians in the local J-rock community. They knew their limitations with Japanese music in the local industry, but still felt a visual & music style had tremendous potential within the Chinese Rock music community. The band carried on to compose original songs mainly in Chinese and Japanese and proceeding to do a demo recording of their first original “My Wish” .
The band aims to ride on the upcoming Chinese-rock wave while adopting a visual image and attempts to keep some of their songs mainstream with Visual Rock elements . The Joker and The Thief
All hail the colossal invasion of The Joker and The Thief!
YES people gather and unite to embrace a festival of overdriven massive tones, low-fuzz distortions, of monolith sounds, hulking riffs and elephantine drumbeats...that is The Joker and The Thief. It all began when guitarist Kami Jamie screamed into the microphone and strummed the first note. The mess of wails and overdriven chords was carved into song by the commanding and paramounting percussion of Mark Han.
The two childhood friends began to express everything they had through their adoration of music and song-writing. The dream was to achieve that perfect raw emotion, the moment of "slight conscious loss" while playing live...to capture respite in perfect suspension. We foresaw a festival, where a massive gathering exists, where sounds of electric and rave prevails, where the unifying energy forms! It is a journey for anyone to partake, to escape and most importantly, to enjoy.
So please, experienceThe Joker and The Thief!

Morning Utopia
We are simply a rock band. Nothing more. Nothing less. Being the five good friends and huge fans of music, we simply started this band as a fun way of expressing just that. But we do believe that what we started here is growing and we would be flattered if somehow we would be able to share all this with you.
Even though, the band was only formed slightly more than 4 years ago, we only at the beginning stage of getting better to know each other. To us, having to play in a band is to be able to express out from our daily lives and to become better musicians by surrounding ourselves with the music that we feel most driven to. Each one of us, FAD - VOCALS & SCREAMS, ZAL - GUITARS & LICKS, FAZ - GUITARS & RIFFS, ESA - BASS & TONES & ROM - DRUMS & SKINS , brings distinct unique elements & sound to the band.
We don't think we are different or gifted. We just simply having much fun by playing to our own brand of music. That would be the ultimate cause and reason for the band's name as "Utopia" means a perfect bliss and an ideal place to be in, hence that is what the band means to us all. While "Morning" defines the fresh sounds and the new beginnings whenever we get together.
Even though generally, we are a rock band, our sound scape & styles are a blend mostly of Glam, Pop, Metal and Blues. As a result, different elements are combined in the writing process. It's extremely natural; never forced or contrived. Currently, most of our songs that we have written showcases our diversity in music as our originals varies from a 6 minute Rock piece to a daring Pop song.

Myraid
The idea of the band was conceived and put together in the later part of 2006. Growing from 3 members to the current 5, each member was drawn towards the harsher sounding genre of J-rock, which in turn spawned the group known to all as Myraid. Myraid plays covers from the band Dir en Grey, as the music is not only sincere, it is heartfelt, intense and passionate, and that is what we believe music should really represent.
Myraid is Nardo (Vocals); Kleaven (Bass); Bernard (Guitar); Li Hao (Guitar); Hans (Drums)

Oligarchy
The Oligarchs:
Wan - Guitars & Vocals [Band Leader]
Bob - Bass & Backing Vocals
Suf – Drums
Initiated in 2005, Oligarchy is probably one of the better known "Post-Grunge / Alternative Rock" band in the local underground scene. The cohesion between musical interests created a sound called “post-grunge/alternative rock” in which songs are more melodic, whilst keeping the familiar grunge simplicity and sound.
Over the 4 years being active in the underground scene, Oligarchy holds countless of sweaty stage experience and a huge array of original work. Performing stages in the heartlands (Boon Lay, Nee Soon, Hougang, Kovan) to the city (DXO, The Arts House, *Scape Youth Park and Orchard Road) “Oligarchy” definitely have made their presence marked. Wearing their hearts on their sleeves and musical equipments, do expect high-energy onstage musical expression.

Pervy Boy
We are Pervy Boy, a five piece pop- punk band from Singapore that has been around for almost a year. Recently, Pervy Boy opened for Avril Lavigne @ the Singapore Indoor Stadium on the Sept 7 2008. Pervy Boy was also invited to perform at Live n Loaded, a Mediacorp TV Production. We would love to be part of Singapore Street Festival
Pervy Boy? Why Pervy Boy?
Marge, the lead singer, believes that most boys are pervy (or aspire to be) – especially the ones she hangs out with (the band, Andrew - lead guitarist, Marcia- bassist and Steph - Drummer). Although largely a Punk sound, the music of Pervy Boy isn't just that. Some of our music influences include Ramones, Greenday and Jimmy Eat World but we also enjoy the sounds of Brit Bands like Placebo and Radiohead.
We would love to perform at Singapore Street Festival and hope that you will give us this chance to showcase our sound to the audience. We have attached the demo for your listening pleasure.

Quinzy
Making a decision recently to release three EP's over a year, Quinzy (Sandy and Jamie Taronno, David and Jason Pankratz) have kept to their word. They released 'One Boys Guide To The Moon' in October 2008, which was quickly followed by 'These Nautical Miles' in February of 2009.
Undaunted by the heavy workload of releasing music so quickly 'Quinzy' have recently completed the 3rd EP (Release Fall 2009) days after releasing 'These Nautical Miles'. The third release is being helmed by producer Vince R. Ditrich at 'The Warehouse' studio in Vancouver, BC. Thoughtfully crafted and elegantly executed, Quinzy's music is garnering more and more attention. The band has quickly become one to watch in the North American music scene.
Quinzy have spent the past few years playing in venues and festivals from New York to Toronto to Vancouver, recently performed at the Juno's (Canadian version of the Grammy's) and look forward to taking part in the 2010 Winter Olympic festivities.
What people are saying:
"One of the brightest lights on the musical horizon."
-the CBC
"...These Nautical Miles is a big, roomy record, full of epic builds and atmospheric arrangements. With its driving bass lines and sprawling, soaring choruses, this seven-song set showcases a band that isn't afraid to work outside its three-minute pop/rock framework (see: the 10-minute Polywater). That said, this is hardly an unfocused outing - Fell In Love With The Enemy boasts one of the best melodic hooks I've heard in a while."
— Jen Zoratti (Uptown Magazine)
"This confident, sophisticated disc -- expertly produced by Canadian veteran Michael Phillip Wojewoda, whose credits include BNL's Gordon and Rheostatics' Whale Music -- is supposedly the first of three EPs due this year. And if the rest sport melodies as pretty, harmonies as sweet, guitars as crunchy and hooks as sharp as this, Quinzy won't be the only ones over the moon."
-Darryl Sterdan (Winnipeg Sun)
"...ultra-melodic and uber-catchy quartet gives more pop than four kids in a room full of bubble wrap."

Shern Wong
Shern Wong grew up listening to the likes of ABBA and the Bee Gees. Ironically his first encounter with a musical instrument was with the violin at the age of 9. However, classical music bored him and he dropped it soon after. At the age of 17, he discovered rock music and the electric guitar and fell in love with the magic and havoc that a 6-string through a distorted amp could create. Always having listened to, and having played in, bands with singers regardless of genre, Shern has recently kindled a particular interest in a genre obscure to the Singapore music scene: guitar instrumental rock music, where the lyrics and vocals of the song are replaced wholly by guitar melodies instead. His interest grew from the influence of his teacher, Rosli Mansor, who has released his own instrumental album 'Dragged' in 2007. Today Shern's guitar heroes include: Paul Gilbert, Joe Satriani, Andy Timmons, John Pertrucci, and of course his beloved teacher Rosli.
Shern has sessioned on rhythm guitar for Rosli's instrumental shows, and is proud to be part of the Fretboard Frenzy (FF) group, a community of like-minded individuals keen to promote the passion of guitar instrumental music in Singapore. He has done a guitar workshop at *Scape in conjunction with FF and soft.com.sg and also performed stripped down versions of his own rock instrumental originals at an event "Strum for Charity" @ Ngee Ann Poly together with fellow FF member Simon Lai.
Breaking away from the mould of being just another guitarist in a band, Shern is now a solo artist and will be releasing his first rock instrumental EP with a launch at Earshot Cafe, on 2nd May 2009.
Shern is keen on sharing and spreading the passion for instrumental music with the audience at Street Fest.
