Cosplay Competition (*NEW*)

Time: 12.30pm – 9.30pm

Cosplayers contestants’ early entries will be featured in this year’s SSF08 programme booklet. Every year in SSF we have a great numbers of Cosplay supporters at D’J Party – a Jrock event.

In Order to take part in the cosplay competition,please send in your photos (genexis@gmail.com) dressed up as your favourite character(from animes,games,manga,japanese rock band only.) It would be advisable to take the picture behind a single colored plain background.

In the email please state your name , ic number ,contact number, the personal/character's name , and which anime/manga/game/japanese rock band did the personal/character originated from.

Please turn up on the day itself as your favourite character/personal! Prizes for the cosplay competition would be confirmed later.

Additional : 10 cosplay participants would be selected to be part of the official launch for Singapore Street Festival's D'J Party 2008 on 24th May 7pm at Suntec City as well(The press coming to interview,film and take pictures.), so please hurry and send in your pictures! This has nothing to do with the competition on the 25th of May. The reason for doing this is that we hope it will help to give cosplayers an opportunity for exposure and experience with the media.

Judging Criteria :

Make up 25%
Costume 25%
The Fit of the Costume 25% (e.g clothes shouldn't be too baggy or lengthy etc.. )
Overall effect 25% (Representation of the character that you are portraying.)

Best Male - $300 value worth of goodies
Best Female - $300 value worth of goodies
Best Alternative - $300 value worth of goodies

Closing date for cosplay and band submission is 20th of April 2008.

D’J Party is in its 5th year and we are proud to present to you the top Jrock Bands in Singapore!!!

If you can ROCK and SING like a true blue Jrock band, come and be part of this event!

This is a whole day event at the park, visual vibrancy and excitement fills the air. Last year winners of the D’ Jrock Band Taisen 2007 will perform at this event.

There will be rock music, fashion, crafts, and goodies.  All things modern and as Japanese as could be.

The Jrock bands are a unique source of energy and hype in Singapore Street Festival.

Cosplay Parade

Cosplayers, get ready to parade in your best costumes. Imitate your favourite characters and pose for the cameras.

Random Best Dressed prizes will be given on the spot so you stand to win attractive prizes.

Cosplayers draw such responses from their ardent followers. Come join the flow!
